I am proud to have worked with many individuals on different types of projects. From weddings to inspiring talks, the invitation to capture their unique stories have been an honor.
Mai Boua has been a friend of mine since middle school. I had the honor of capturing her traditional Hmong wedding in September 2016. I could not have been happier to be a witness of this beautiful event.
Rich in culture and color, this wedding mixed modern details with old traditions. With lots of huzzahs, laughter, and tears, there was much to celebrate that day.
Wishing them nothing but love and happiness.
This video project was created and developed to help promote awareness of the Hmong community's support of survivors of sexual abuse. It was shot and edited in collaboration with Pang Her. For more information on Pang's work, click here.
Adworkers reached out to me to get this amazing talk on video. The speaker was special guest, Brett Stenson, who is a talented graphic design artist from Portland, Oregon. However, Brett is no stranger to Milwaukee as he attended high school in West Allis and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) during his college years. This visit back to share his work and advice on his career was definitely a loud welcome.
I arrived only just moments before the talk began, so the shaky camera was my fault to try to adjust the tripod as I had to move it around. Despite that hiccup, it was such an honor to film this for Adworkers. It was very rewarding to be present for such an inspirational talk about work, art, and life as an artist. His perspective brings hope and insight for other individuals on the same or similar career path. I would definitely recommend checking out Adworkers for more upcoming events as well as learn more about Brett Stenson and his line of work.
